Pet Testimonials
Gizzy: When Gizzy, a Pekinese dog, was 6yr old he developed kidney failure. The vet treated him and he got worse to the point that the vet recommended putting him to sleep. I treated Gizzy with spinal adjustments, Jin Shin Jyutsu and he improved back to full health. He has now become our reception dog because we all fell in love with him and his mom is Joan, our Chiropractic Assistant.
Sugar: A Siamese cat got lost and was not found for 5 days. He developed an eye infection. The medication was applied but it did not help. A new medication was prescribed and it did not help. Then Sugar was adjusted and the infection went away. From then on any sign of an eye infection and Sugar was adjusted and it cleared right up.
Cinnamon: Every animal has aches and pains but the owner generally does not recognize it. If you see your animal walking and stop and lick their leg it is frequently a pain they are having. Some animals pull out their hair as a reaction to pain. Of course our rule is to see the vet 1st to rule out more serious condition. Then ask for a prescription for adjusting. It helps pains due to subluxations, arthritis, over use, discs, and many more reasons. It helped Cinnamon and Sugar with their aches and pains. I know because they would stop licking their leg as they used to.
Herniated Discs:
Many animals of any size get herniated discs. However dogs with short legs may be more prone to them and can get herniated discs from looking up and discs in their backs for standing up on their hind legs and jumping up and down from high places. I have treated many dachshunds with neck discs and others with back discs. They all improved quickly and went back to their normal selves. Some ways you can help prevent wear and tear on your little friends is to pick them up so they do not have to jump up and down from furniture. Pet stairs are good for helping your animal to get up and down from furniture and beds.
Sprains & Strains:
We have had animals who strained themselves playing, or due to an accident. They make good progress, heal quicker and have less pain from being adjusting. If the animal is not making good progress we will refer him or her back to her vet for further testing other forms of treatment.
Razzle: Razzle had hair loss and I was told that it might be a serious immune problem if it persists. I find that adjusting her relieves the subluxations and the hair grows back.
Stiff Neck: A friend’s Doberman Pincher fell out of the back of the owner’s pick up truck while it was moving. The dog could not raise his head after the incident. After the adjustment he was back to normal.
Fall from a Deck:
A dog fell off the deck and hit his head and side. He was swollen and injured severely. His cranium or skull as well as his jaw needed to be adjusted. His spine and limb joints were damaged too. The treatment was bringing down the swelling and improving the function. However due to the severity of the dog’s condition and how long it was after the injury that he was brought to me he needed multiple adjustments and his family just could not see the treatment through to the end. I think about him often and hope he is ok. The lesson of the story is do not wait to bring you pet or yourself in for care because the sooner treated after the accident the less treatment is required. Also if you are unable to continue with the treatment, talk to us about it. Do not just disappear. We will address your issues.
Chiropractic Works
Animals are proof that Chiropractic works. They do not pretend to be sick and they do not have agendas about not getting well. So when they have a symptom and they are adjusted and it clears up it is unbiased proof that chiropractic works. The nerves of the body go to all areas of the body; all cells, organs, systems, and tissues. So if you think it is surprising that Chiropractic helps so many non-pain related issues remember where the nerves go. Know that Chiropractic can help all parts of the whole body of animals and people.
