Pets Benefit from Chiropractic Too
Both Drs Ron and Chris love animals and have had animals throughout their lives. Many times they have gone to someone’s home and are told "do not expect to see the animals because they do not come out when we have company" but before long they are surrounded by the pets. The owners are always shocked but animals can tell when someone loves them. So it was only natural that the Doctors would study animal adjusting. They are both VOM (Veterinarian Orthopedic Manipulation) Certified and have been adjusting their own animals and those of their patients for many years. http://www.vomtech.com/

The Doctors will not accept any animal for adjusting without having a prescription from a vet.

The Treatment
The adjusting is suited to the animal and their needs and condition. It may be finger adjusting or hand adjusting or adjusting with the activator or Arthrostim. Sometimes massage may be needed to relax the muscles as well. An animal may need a couple of adjustments or in severe cases they may need weeks of adjusting. The owners are instructed in things they can do at home, including Jin Shin Jyutsu if needed.

Requirements For Pets To Be Adjusted

1) A vet’s prescription
2) If the animal has fleas or ticks the animal cannot come to the office until they are free of fleas or ticks. If the owner is unable to accomplish this due to the animal’s condition they should talk to us and we can work out some other arrangement.
3) If the animal will tend to defecate or poop, urinate or vomit on our floors the owner either needs to bring the animal in diapers or have sufficient water resistant blankets to protect our floor or talk to the Doctors about another arrangement.
4) When animals are injured they may be sore or painful and some animals will bite if the injured area is touched. Our treatment, though gentle, requires touching the injured area. You are responsible to either manage the animal’s head or have a muzzle for the animal.
5) We will need the owner to manage the animal so he/she will stay still for the adjustment.
6) It is a must that any feces that your animal deposits on the property of the condo must be picked up and removed. We do not want to loose our ability to treat animals because a few are inconsiderate.
7) If your dog is nervous a treat can frequently do the job of making them feel better about the treatment.

Vet's Prescriptions

Vet’s prescriptions can be faxed to 908-359-0143 or dropped off or brought with you on the first visit.

Animals Enjoy The Experience
Our treatment is generally a good experience for your pet. Most pet owners say their dog will not get out of the car at the vets office but will jump out of the car and walk right up to our door. When the animals comes into the office they are wagging their tails and glad to be here to get relief for their problems. Many cats get very comfortable with coming here too.
