Adjustments

Drs Ron and Christine both adjust the spine and the extremities, which include the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hands, fingers, hips, knees, ankles, feet and toes. The other bones the doctors adjust are the cranial, ears, clavicles, scapulas, ribs and pelvis bones.

An adjustment is when a chiropractic doctor applies a gentle pressure to a subluxation [or a bone out of the proper position that can irritate nerves] to move that bone into the proper position and relieve the nerve irritation.

The doctors know a variety of techniques so they can use the best technique for each patient. Drs Berju Activator, Applied Kinesiology or AK, Arthrostim, Cox Traction, Diversified Technique, Gonstead, SOT, Thompson and Webster, etc. Dr. Chris Berju also uses Koren Specific Technique or KST.

Physical Therapy In Our Office

We used Ultrasound, Electric Stimulation [including Interferential, Russian Stimulation HVG, etc.,] Infrared, Disc Decompression for the neck and low back, Stretching, Massage, Deep Tissue Cupping and ConnecTX soft tissue mobilization. These therapies decrease nerve irritation, muscle spasms, inflammation, swelling, & pain. These therapies help you hold your adjustments better, feel better and heal faster.

Certain therapies are better suited to certain conditions than others and your Doctor will recommend what is best for you.

Orthotics or Arch Supports

Orthotics or Arch Support are very helpful for the feet, knees, hips, back and sometimes the head. The Doctor examines your feet and may scan them to determine the need. He may also check your shoes for wear which occurs with problems of the feet. Pains in the arches, heels, top of the feet, gait abnormalities are among the more common symptoms of feet problems.

If it is determined that you are a candidate for orthotics a mold will be made or a scan will be done. The orthotics made will help all your individual foot problems for each foot. The result is a comfortable orthotic that will really help you.

Store bought orthotics are a one size fits all approach. They are made by foot size and with only one correction to an orthotic for the common foot problem of fallen arches. Most problems of the feet, including the common fallen arch, require corrections in several areas of an orthotic to achieve the best support. Also, not all people with the same foot size have the same foot problems.

We work with reputable Orthotic companies. So, in the rare case that the orthotic in not right, the company will fix it at no charge within the first 3 to 6 months.

Nutritional Advice and Products

Both Doctors give Nutritional Advice to help with the healing process and your health in general. Dr. Chris can do nutritional evaluations, testing, and recommendations as needed. Nutritional products, of the highest quality, can be ordered through the office.

Animal Adjusting

Pet cats and dogs have subluxations that can irritate nerves and cause pain, and affect organ function and benefit from adjustments, just as people do. Dr. Chris adjusts pets after receiving a vet's prescription. The size of the animal affects how the adjustment are made. For example, adjustments can be done with finger touches or an Arthrostim. Infrared can be done also. Most dogs and cats really enjoy the process.
